This lecture is a part of Manatee Lagoon’s Manatee Master Lecture Series presented on the first Sunday of the month from May to October 2019. Join us as Manatee Lagoon’s Manatee Masters, our docents who are all Florida Atlantic University students, share highlights of their respective fields of study.
This month: Manatee Master and FAU graduate student Andrea Hernandez will talk about her research on the invasive lionfish species and various adaptations that play important roles in a fish’s life. Andrea will discuss the functions of the unique facial features of lionfish and explain how these features could influence lionfish ecology, biology and management strategies.
