Children's Art Contest

Thank you to everyone who entered our first-ever children's art contest in celebration of Manatee Lagoon's 5th anniversary. 

The contest was designed to inspire appreciation for manatees and their place in the environment. Artists were invited to create an original masterpiece featuring manatees in their natural surroundings, including manatees and other animals that live in the sea or on the land.

Additional Information

Age Group Categories
Winners will be chosen in four age group categories (ages 6 and under, ages 7-9, ages 10-12, ages 13-17), and judges will choose one (1) grand prize winner and one (1) honorable mention from each age group category for a total of eight (8) winners overall. 

Grand prize winners will win a one-on-one behind-the-scenes virtual session and Q&A with a Manatee Master and a Manatee Lagoon gift basket (valued at $250). Honorable mentions will win a Manatee Lagoon gift basket (valued at $150).

Entry Deadline
Entries must be mailed in to Manatee Lagoon and postmarked on or before Sunday, Feb. 28, 2021 for consideration. No electronic entries can be accepted. For address details, please refer to the official art contest rules and guidelines document linked below.

Winners will be announced on this website page as well as Manatee Lagoon's social media pages on Wednesday, March 24, 2021. We will also contact the winners directly via the information provided on the entry form.
