During manatee season (November 15 through March 31), join one of our educators, a “Manatee Master,” for a casual tenth-of-a-mile stroll along our picturesque waterfront path. Starting at our solar canopies at the southernmost end of our campus, our Manatee Master will invite you to help perform a survey of what can be seen in the waters of the Lake Worth Lagoon along the way. You’ll hear about the lagoon’s important role as a home to a diverse array of marine life, including manatees. The walk will end by the clean warm-water outflows of the adjacent Florida Power & Light Company Riviera Beach Clean Energy Center, where manatees may gather, especially during cold weather.
The 30-minute program is for individuals or groups with fewer than 10 people. Waterfront Walks are outdoors only, so the program may be cancelled due to inclement weather.

Self-guiding group visits – Groups with 10 or more people not registering for a tour or program
Large groups (10 or more people) interested in visiting Manatee Lagoon without a tour or program reservation are asked to provide at least two week’s advance notice of their plans (e.g. preferred date and time, number of visitors and mode of transportation). We may ask groups to adjust their plans to help manage visitation and parking levels to provide everyone with the best visitor experience. To coordinate a group visit outside of a tour or program, please contact us.
