Manatee Masters, our educational docents, guide visitors on walking tours of Manatee Lagoon’s exhibits, providing insight about “all things manatee” and the Lake Worth Lagoon ecosystem. Tours are open to all ages.

All About Manatees Tour

All about manatees tours can be booked by individuals or groups

Dive into the world of manatees with our engaging 45-minute tour, perfect for all ages! Led by our knowledgeable Manatee Masters, you’ll start by exploring manatee skeletons and discovering their unique adaptations and migration patterns. See a real satellite tag up close and learn how researchers track these gentle giants. Finally, find out about the threats manatees face and how you can make a difference in protecting this endangered species. Join us daily at 2 PM for an unforgettable experience!

Date: Daily, excluding the second Sunday of each month, unless otherwise noted on the calendar
Time: 2:00 p.m.; the program typically lasts 30 to 45 minutes
Registration: Opens 45 days in advance of each event and is requested for planning purposes.
Location: The walking tour will meet at the manatee skeletons inside the building’s entrance. Limited seating is available throughout the tour.

Conservation and Innovation Walk

Join us for our new 45-minute outdoor walking tour, perfect for all ages! The “Conservation and Innovation Walk” starts at the north end of our property and strolls along our beautiful waterfront. Discover why manatees visit Manatee Lagoon, learn about the fascinating history of the Lake Worth Lagoon ecosystem, and see some of our exciting conservation projects up close. Learn how Manatee Lagoon and Florida Power & Light Company are contributing to conservation and innovation in the area. Experience nature and cutting-edge advancements in a fun, engaging way. Don’t miss this captivating and educational tour!

Location: The walking tour will meet outside at the north end of our property. This is an outdoor walking tour and seating will not be available during the program.

Time: 9:15 a.m. or 1:00 p.m.; the program typically lasts 30 to 45 minutes.
Registration: Advance registration is required. Registration opens 3 months in advance and closes 14 days ahead of each offering.
Group Size: Minimum of 10 and maximum of 60 people
Location: The walking tour will meet at the manatee skeletons inside the building’s entrance.
Cost: Free

Self-Guiding Group visits

Self-guiding group visits – Groups with 10 or more people not registering for a tour or program

If you are a large group (10 or more people) interested in visiting Manatee Lagoon to self-guide without a tour or program reservation, please contact us and provide at least two week’s advance notice of your plans, including preferred date and time, number of visitors and mode of transportation. We may ask groups to adjust their plans to help manage visitation and parking levels to provide everyone with the best visitor experience.
